Travel Diary: Prague in July and Alsace in September Through a Polyglot Lens

For me, traveling and language learning go hand in hand.
This summer I visited Prague in July and Alsace in September, and each destination offered a unique opportunity to use my language skills.

In Prague I mostly communicated in English. The city’s beauty and history were amazing, and being able to connect with locals in English made it easy and comfortable.

In Alsace, I had the chance to practice French quite a bit, but I also stayed connected to German, even as I decided to focus on Portuguese for the future.
It was fascinating to navigate the mix of French and German influences in the region.

What makes travel so meaningful to me is the ability to understand and speak another language that's not my mother tongue.
It not only makes me feel more comfortable in a new place, but it also brings me closer to the culture and people.

For me, every new language I learn is a step towards a future where I can even think to live abroad and perhaps even make one of these languages my own first one.

In the end, traveling and learning different languages are more than just hobbies; they're a path to connecting with the world and fulfilling my dreams.
