The YouTube Channel That Helped Me Improve My Pronunciation in English
Hadar is not a native English speaker, and that’s one of the reasons why I connected with her so quickly. Like me, she learned English as a second language. But today, she speaks with a beautiful American accent. Her story gave me hope and motivation. If she could do it, I believed I could too.
Her channel is full of helpful videos about pronunciation, connected speech, rhythm, stress, and intonation. She explains everything very clearly, with examples and exercises. What I liked the most is that she teaches not only how to pronounce words, but also why certain sounds are difficult for learners. She helped me understand the logic behind English pronunciation.
Thanks to her, I discovered shadowing, one of the most effective methods I’ve ever used. I started repeating after her in her videos, trying to copy her intonation and rhythm. At first, it was difficult and a bit uncomfortable. But with time, it became easier, and I noticed big improvements in my pronunciation and listening skills.
I also followed her tips to improve my comprehension. For example, she often talks about how important it is to focus on listening to sounds, not only words. That really helped me to "tune in" to English. I began to feel more confident when speaking and more comfortable when listening to fast conversations.
Even now, after several years of practice, and even if my level is good enough to understand and speak quite fluently, I still listen to her videos and her podcast episodes. I always learn something new, and it reminds me how far I’ve come. Her energy, her teaching style, and her passion for pronunciation continue to inspire me.
If you’re learning English and want to improve your pronunciation, I really recommend her channel. It helped me build a strong foundation, and I believe it can help many other learners too.
Thank you, Hadar, for being part of my English journey!
